Sydney Road, Seaforth

From pavement to garden – A Front Garden Transformation

In November 2021 we were asked to create a design and implement the works to create a new garden area in a barren and underused pave front garden. The clients wanted a space that would increase the street appeal of their home and that would attract local wildlife to their garden. They wanted an informal garden that reminded them of areas around the native bushland of the north shore while bringing in elements of a traditional garden. To achieve this my team and I created a mixed planted area that combined natives with flowering traditional plants such as Gardenias and Metrosideros with natives such as Corymbia and Grevillea. We used local Sydney sandstone and bluestone steppers to transform this space.
